High levels require high currents, therefore heat builds up in the motor/drive of the speaker, this is dissipated to the environment by means of a core bore, if present, and various vents in the speaker basket. Please note that excessive stress on the loudspeaker can lead to loss of warranty. Likewise, sufficient ventilation should be ensured.
