What is the difference between ferrite and neodymium as magnet material?

Ferrite is cheaper to produce and has a high magnetic force, but it requires more volume compared to neodymium. Neodymium can be equipped with the highest magnetic force and also requires little volume, so we use it more for midrange and tweeter. Both materials have optimal prerequisites for a homogeneous magnetic field and are therefore used in loudspeaker construction.
