What is a subsonic filter?

A subsonic filter is a high-pass filter set in the lowest frequency spectrum. Extremely low frequencies are no longer perceptible to the human ear. These frequencies (1 Hz - 30 Hz) can be separated by means of a subsonic filter. This filter is only used with subwoofers.
